August & September Delegate Barkley will attend fundraising events for fellow delegates in Montgomery County.

Sept. 15, 2011 7:00-9:00 PM Delegate Barkley will participate in the State Highway Administration's Annual Transportation update presented to the Montgomery County Delegation. Maryland's Transportation Secretary will only take questions from members of the Delegation and other elected officials from Montgomery County.

All Delegation events are open to the public and take place in the 3rd floor hearing room of the County Council building in Rockville. All Delegation events are listed on the Delegation's website: www.montgomerycountydelegation.com.

Sept. 20, 2001 1:00-4:00 PM As a member of the Joint Audit Committee, Delegate Barkley will attend the Joint Audit Committee hearing in Annapolis.

Sept. 23, 2001 10:00- Noon Delegate Barkley will participate in the official opening of the new Science Center classroom building on the Rockville campus of Montgomery College.

Oct. 12, 2001 8:30-10:30 AM Delegate Barkley will participate in the annual meeting between members of the Delegation and members of the Montgomery County Board of Education at the Carver Educational Services Center in Rockville. Board of Education members will present their 2012 legislative priorities to the members of the Delegation.

Oct. 17, 2011 - ??? Delegate Barkley will participate in the Maryland General Assembly's "Special Legislative Session" in Annapolis. The sole purpose of the special session is to approve changes in boundaries to our Congressional Districts. Once the legislature is called into session, other bills can be introduced at that point.

New boundaries for legislative districts will not be decided until the 2012 Regular Session.

Montgomery County Delegation will hold hearings in Rockville in November & December on local bills that will be introduced in the 2012 Legislative Session that convenes on 1/10/12.
